ITINERARY & TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Day 1: Arrival in Paro. Upon arrival in Paro, marvel at the breathtaking snow-capped peaks of the inner Himalayas, visible during clear weather. As the plane descends, witness the charming farmhouses dotting the hillsides. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through Paro town and explore local shops. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 2: Paro Exploration. After breakfast, visit the historic Kichu Temple, one of the 108 temples constructed in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songsten Gampo. Explore the ancient fortress of Drugyel Dzong. Relax in the evening with a hot stone bath at a farmhouse.
Day 3: Wedding Day Experience the traditional Bhutanese Buddhist wedding ceremony in an elaborately decorated setting. The marriage ceremony will take place in the presence of the Lama(Priest) and all guests, accompanied by cultural performances including cultural program and traditional mask dances. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 4: Journey to Thimphu. After a leisurely morning, embark on a scenic drive to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu. Enjoy picturesque stops for photography along the way. Upon arrival, be welcomed at the hotel in traditional Bhutanese fashion. Spend a relaxing afternoon and enjoy a romantic dinner with the bed adorned with flowers and traditional paintings. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 5: Journey to Wangdue/Punakha. Explore the Punakha valley, visiting villages,Temples, Punakha Dzong, Wangdue Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 6: Return to Thimphu. After breakfast, return to Thimphu and explore the city’s attractions. Enjoy shopping in the local market and savor dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 7: Thimphu to Paro. Embark on a scenic drive back to Paro. Begin the exhilarating hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, perched dramatically on a cliffside. Enjoy breathtaking views of the monastery and surrounding landscape. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 8: Departure. Your tour guide will accompany you to Paro airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your memorable honeymoon journey in Bhutan.
