HAA VALLEY

The essence of a visit to Haa lies in the journey itself, as well as the captivating sights of the valley. Two renowned monasteries, Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple), beckon travelers with their cultural and spiritual significance. The central shrine of Lhakhang Nagpo is believed to mirror the grandeur of the Jowo temple in Lhasa, with local legends attributing divine assistance to the construction of Lhakhang Karpo, adding a mystical allure to these sacred sites.
