Day 1: Arrive in Paro – Drive to Thimphu
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
Day 3: Drive from Thimphu  to Gangtey, Phobjikha.
Day 4: Tour in Gangtey. Drive to Punakha
Day 5: Tour in Punakha & Wangdue. 
Day 6: Drive to Paro. Tour Paro Valley 
Day 7: Hike to Takstang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Day 1: Arrival in Paro- Thimphu

  • Upon arrival in Paro, you will be transferred to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
  • Check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, exploring the surroundings or relaxing after your journey.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing

  • Begin your exploration of Thimphu with a visit to the Tashichho Dzong, a majestic fortress that serves as both a monastery and government office.
  • Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a prominent Buddhist stupa honoring the third king.
  • Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Library to learn more about Bhutanese culture and history.
  • In the afternoon, explore the bustling local market and take a stroll around the city to soak in the atmosphere.

Day 3: Thimphu – Gangtey, Phobjikha Valley

  • Depart from Thimphu and drive towards Gangtey, passing through scenic landscapes and charming villages along the way.
  • En route, stop at Dochula Pass for panoramic views of the Himalayas.
  • Continue to the picturesque Phobjikha Valley, known for its natural beauty and as the winter habitat of the endangered black-necked cranes.
  • Visit Gangtey Monastery, an important religious site in the region, before checking into your accommodation for the night.

Day 4: Gangtey – Punakha

  • After breakfast, few other places and depart from Gangtey and drive to Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, a stunning fortress located at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers.
  • Explore the surrounding area and visit Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the Divine Madman.
  • Check into your hotel in Punakha and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 5: In Punakha & Wangdue

  • Spend the day exploring Punakha and Wangdue Valleys, visiting local attractions and enjoying the scenic beauty of the region.
  • Visit Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, perched on a hilltop overlooking the valley.
  • Explore nearby villages, interact with locals, and learn about traditional Bhutanese crafts and culture.
  • In the evening, return to your hotel in Punakha for overnight stay.

Day 6: Paro Valley Tour

  • Drive back to Paro and embark on a tour of the Paro Valley.
  • Visit Paro Dzong, a historic fortress-monastery with stunning architecture and panoramic views of the valley.
  • Explore the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in a former watchtower, and learn about the country’s cultural heritage.
  • Take a leisurely walk around Paro town, exploring its shops, cafes, and historical landmarks.

Day 7: In Paro (Taktsang)

  • Today, embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most famous landmarks.
  • The hike takes approximately 4-5 hours round trip and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
  • After visiting the monastery, descend back to Paro and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing or exploring the town.

Day 8: Departure
