Filming & Documentary Tour offers a unique opportunity to explore exotic locations perfect for capturing stunning footage. We meticulously scout out special filming spots tailored to our clients’ specific preferences and interests. Whether it’s family gatherings, ancient rituals, or traditional farming practices, we provide a range of pre-planned topics to choose from.

Filming in Bhutan entails adhering to the Bhutan Filming Rules & Regulations set by the Royal Government. To obtain a filming permit from the Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority, certain documents must be submitted to our office at least a month before your visit.

  • Company application
  • Certification or letter of recommendation/endorsement from sponsoring agency/company
  • Personal CV and passport copies of the filming crew
  • Company profile
  • Synopsis/treatment of the proposed film detailing its purpose, objectives, and theme
  • List of equipment, accessories, and consumables to be imported into Bhutan
  • Completed Film Permit Clearance Application Form

Additionally, a Filming Royalty fee of US$ 3,000 and a Filming Security Deposit of US$ 2,000 are required, in addition to the standard tourist tariff. The security deposit is refundable upon satisfactory completion of the film, as reviewed by the Bhutan InfoComm & Media Authority. A copy of the edited film must be submitted for BICMA’s review and approval before public screening.

TOUR ITINERARY:

  • Day 1:       Arrive and stay in Paro. Tour Paro.
  • Day 2:       Drive to filming location.

            -SHOOTING- 

  • Day 3:   Tour Thimphu. Drive to Paro.
  • 2nd  Last day: Paro (Hike to Takstang) monastery 
  • Last day:     Departure.
